Over the past few days, regional torrential rains have occurred in Chongqing.As of 7: 00 on July 18, floods and landslides in Chongqing had affected 556294 people in 31 districts and counties, killing 11 people and causing direct economic losses of 860 million yuan.

Chongqing Hydrological Monitoring Station monitoring, from 8: 00 on the 17th to 8: 00 on the 18th, most areas of Chongqing moderate to heavy rain, local torrential rain to heavy rain. Shapingba, Qijiang, Shizhu, Pengshui and other 26 districts and counties have torrential rain, of which Fengjie, Zhongxian, Qianjiang and other 7 districts and counties have torrential rain; the maximum daily rainfall appears in Yunyang Yunxiang Dahua Village, for 185 mm.Affected by heavy rainfall, 25 small and medium-sized rivers in Chongqing have over-warning water levels, and 7 of them have over-guaranteed water levels.

At present, District Yanghe (Pengshui) is still over-guaranteed, Daxi River (Wulong) is still over-alert, and other rivers have fallen below alert.

Yulin River, Meijiang River and other 78 small and medium-sized rivers showed a process of rising water of 1 to 8 meters, and the highest water level did not exceed the warning level.The water potential of other small and medium-sized rivers is stable, and there is no obvious rising process.

Judging from the water potential of major rivers, at 8: 00 on the 18th, the water level of Cuntan Station on the Yangtze River was 179.36 meters, 1.14 meters lower than the warning water level; the water level of Beibei Station of Jialing River was 187.5 meters, 7 meters lower than the warning water level; and the water level of Wulong Station of Wujiang River was 190.18 meters, 2.82 meters lower than the warning water level.

According to the statistics of Chongqing Flood Control and drought Relief headquarters, as of 7: 00 on the 18th, the flood and landslide disasters caused by this round of heavy rainfall. 556294 people have been affected in Wanzhou, Fuling, Shapingba, Beibei, Yubei, Banan, Changshou, Jiangjin, Hechuan, Yongchuan, Nanchuan, Qijiang, Tongnan, Tongliang, Dazu, Rongchang, Bishan, Liangping, Chengkou, Fengdu, Dianjiang, Wulong, Zhongxian, Kaizhou, Yunyang, Fengjie, Wushan, Wuxi, Shizhu, Youyang, Pengshui and other 31 districts and counties. 11 people died as a result of the disaster and emergency transfer. 10113 people in need of emergency living assistance.

Crops affected an area of 23000 hectares, of which 5049 hectares had no harvest; 1031 houses collapsed and 3444 were damaged to varying degrees; and direct economic losses totaled 860 million yuan.

Chongqing Hydrological Monitoring Station predicts that from 8: 00 on the 18th to 8: 00 on the 19th, small and medium-sized rivers in the northeast and southeast of Chongqing may have varying degrees of flood, and some small and medium-sized rivers may have over-warning and over-guaranteed water level floods.

The rising probability of small and medium-sized rivers in Yunyang, Fengjie and Wushan in the northeast and Qianjiang, Youyang, Xiushan and Pengshui in the southeast is higher.

The office of Chongqing Flood Control and drought Relief headquarters reminds all citizens to pay attention to meteorological and hydrological early warning information in time, to actively do their own risk prevention work under the guidance of the government and relevant departments, to take measures for drainage in front and back of houses and low-lying areas in advance, and to comply with the control of traffic management departments when traveling during heavy rainfall, and to avoid roads prone to stagnant water and landslides as far as possible to ensure their own safety.
