Fengjie: Lotuses blooming in Riverside Park

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, the author saw that the lotus pond of Riverside Park in Fengjie County was full of lotuses; and the beautiful scenery of pavilions, paths and water attracted many citizens and photography enthusiasts to enjoy the lotus blossoms and leisure activities.

There were a number of citizens walking along the hydrophilic footpath by the pond, and most of them were the whole family who went to enjoy lotuses together. Petals dotted on the green lotus leaves, were very attractive. As breeze slowly blowing, lotus flowers and lotus leaves were swaying in the wind with fragrance, making everyone relaxed and happy.

“In the beautiful scenery of the lotus pond, I can’t help but think of the scenery of the lotus pond described by the poet Yang Wanli who wrote“The emerald lotus leaves reach as far as where water and skies meet, and lotus blossoms bathing in sunshine exhibit a distinctive dazzling pink.” Citizen Mr. Wang said that the lotuses in the Park were very beautiful when they were in full bloom.
